Ingest question
« on: June 13, 2006, 09:46:34 AM »
Just wondering when you do an Ingest does it do error checking and verifying?
Much like what you do with xcopy /v function.
I just wanted to make sure what’s on my computer matches what’s on my card. ;)

Verifying, no.  Since some of the options will result in a file that doesn't match byte-for-byte (like IPTC/XMP captioning) there is no way to do a "verify".  It does definitely do error checking, and it will report any errors to the Ingest Progress window.
