Some Questions
« on: March 02, 2008, 07:06:58 AM »
Hi!

1. Crop preview
Is it possible, to introduce a crop preview on a keyboard shortcut like 'p' as I save or send by ftp?
I better can controll the crop when I see it in the final version and in a bigger view. The preview could be the size of the preview display.
The solution with the grey area of the non-cropping-area confuses me partially.

2. Droplet
Is it also possible to start a droplet by a keyboard shortcut?

3. Custom Short-Cut List
Is it possible to edit all function to a costum keyboard shortcut.
There must be a list of all functions where I able to put a costum keyboard shortcut for each
function which is helpfully for my work.

4. IPTC-Info
I have a problem with the IPTC Info dialog.
My basic construction of the box 'caption' looks like this:
first line: text
second line: empty
third line: text
For each picture, I have to put by the function 'code replacement' a playername in the empty
second line. When the code \h10\ (playernumber) is getting 'translated' in the playername, the cursor jumps
in the midle of the text in line three. When I woud like to write a further text after the playername I have to
set the curser back to the second line. That costs a little bit more time. Can this bug (or is it a feature *smile*) getting change?

Sorry for my bad English and thanks for answers.

No, there is currently no such feature.

I have not seen that behavior before.  What OS and what version of Photo Mechanic are you using?

Jeff,

It´s Windows XP and PM 4.5.3

I am able to reproduce the problem.  It is related to how many lines of text the text field has.  I'll fix it in the 4.6 version unless any major problems are found in 4.5.3.1 (the current version) that would require a 4.5.3.2 release to be created.
