Unsupported Format Variant
« on: March 10, 2008, 09:51:53 AM »
I have been shooting with a Canon Mark II and an SD card and a large number of files suddenly come up as "unsupported format variant".  This seems strange as the settings on my camera have not been changed.  In fact this problem starts in the middle of a burst of 5 raw images.  I can view them in camera but not in PM.  Any clues? ???

Thanks.

Are these CR2 files or JPEGs?

It sounds like they may be damaged.

Hi Kirk thanks for the quick response, I appreciate that.

I have CR2 files that I can see in camera but will not come up in PM.

Hi Kirk thanks for the quick response, I appreciate that.

If you want to send me a file or two, I'd be happy to take a look at them.  Click on my name to the left of this message.  Then click on the "personal message" link.  Mention this issue and I'll respond with server upload information.
