Ctrl+E and E
« on: April 02, 2008, 01:14:21 PM »
Hi Kirk,

The tool tips for the short cut to an external editor are not consistent... 'Ctrl+E' in the contact sheet and 'E' in the preview window, although _both_ key combinations do the same in _both_ windows.

Minor problem, I just wanted to report it.

That is intentional.  People requested that very common tasks be able to be performed with a single keystroke, so we added it.  The UI does not support listing multiple keyboard shortcuts for a single menu item...

OK, but why do you display 'Ctrl+E' in the tool tip in the contact sheet and not just 'E' ?

Serge,

Because Ctrl+E works with any number of selected photos, and the single key 'E' only works when a single photo is selected.

Sorry Kirk, I didn't know about that difference.
