Higher ppi on Contact Sheets?
« on: May 11, 2008, 11:20:49 AM »
I find that contact sheets auto res to only 150ppi - I would prefer 200ppi or so....

Is there any way to change that up? I've been through preferences and didn't find anything there.

What contact sheets are you referring to?  Printed contact sheets?  PDFs?  The actual contact sheet that your images are loaded into?

If I select some images, and go to 'print' I can print as a contact sheet - 12 images per page (or whatever I want). I usually save these as a compressed pdf. The default resolution is 150ppi - I find it too small to really get a good look at.....

What version of Photo Mechanic are you using?
What OS are you running?

Have you tried adjusting the "Resolution:" field?  It is near the bottom of the Printing dialog.

I have it set on 240ppi - I print as pdfs. Then I open the file in photoshop to save it as a jpg (to send to the printers) and the ppi is 150 in cs3. Slightly confusing! The prints are the uber low quality!

Do you have "Use printer scaling" on or off?  Try toggling that feature.
