CD Burn

I've been burning cd's for my clients from PM with no problems till a couple of weeks ago. Then they complained the cd's I sent them were 'locked', and they had to seek help from a specialist to unlock and use the files.

I shot jpegs+raw. Used the jpeg and saved as a tiff. Then from the file menu clicked burn cd. The result seemed OK to me, but I've tried again today, and I get 'read only' cd.
I'm using a Mac, 10.4.11, and PM 4.5.3.1. I took todays cd to a neighbour with a pc. He could open cd, and drag tiffs to his desktop, but the info was 'read only'.

Where/how can I make cd's read and write?

At the moment I can get around the problem by exporting to a folder then burning cd using Toast.
But its not as efficient as doing it straight from PM.

Once a CD is burned it cannot be written to unless the media is a CD-RW.  The only exception to this is to burn a multi-session disc which would allow additional files to be added to the disc, space permitting.  I don't understand why a client would want to try to write to the CD you gave them.  They should only need to read the files from the CD.  Once the files are on their local hard drive, they should be able to modify them straight away unless the permissions on the files are read only.  But even if this were the case, it should be fairly simple on a Mac or a Windows machine to make the files writable in bulk.

Nothing has changed recently in regards to disc burning in Photo Mechanic.  Are the files on your Mac locked or set to read-only before you try to burn them?
