two variables don't do what they should
« on: July 11, 2008, 10:00:21 AM »
Hi---I'm running PM 4.4.3.3 on an eMac 1.25Ghz, 1 GB RAM, with MAC OS 10.4.8.  I've noticed that when I try to use the variable {filenamebase} or {fbas} when renaming files, the claimed effect doesn't work. Instead of deleting the extension name from the files, it stays.  The rename dialogue accurately depicts the result that you'll get:  a .JPG stays a .JPG.  Am I missing something, as usual?  Thanks

Can you give me an example of some of the current filenames before you try to rename them?

Thanks,
