very basic Q: How do I re-number images ?
« on: June 27, 2006, 04:58:40 AM »
I need to know how to re-number sequentially a large group (500) of images that are in two different folders so that the numbers in the two folders do not duplicate each other when I make contact sheets. I have been trying by selecting all images in one folder and then using the set sequence variable but nothing is happenning after I do that (numbers are not changing). This is the first project I have attempted with photo mechanics so I really don't know what I am doing.

Thanks for your help, Noel

I figured it out.  I was in a little bit of a panic last night and was having problems that somehow I overcame about five minutes after I posted my question.

Thanks again, Noel

Noel... this is but one of the many many things that PM is really great at.

I rename every image with it.  My goal in life is to never create another file using the same name as a file that already exists.  (Well, its one of my goals in life anyway).
