Starting DPP from PM
« on: August 04, 2006, 12:05:04 PM »
Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to start Canon's DPP with a command line that opens either the selected image in the DPP-editor directly or at least opens the right folder? I'm using Windows XP SP2, PM 4.4.3.2 and DPP 2.1.
Thanks,
Emile

Emile,

Does anyone know if it's possible to start Canon's DPP with a command line that opens either the selected image in the DPP-editor directly or at least opens the right folder? I'm using Windows XP SP2, PM 4.4.3.2 and DPP 2.1.

First go into the preferences and under the General Settings, set the Startup Folder to "Last Displayed Folder".

DPP will at least show the folder that PM tells it to open, but alas I have found no way to get the images passed to it to show up as pre-selected.

HTH,

-Kirk

Thanks Kirk, will try that. Will send a message to Canon as well concerning opening a pic for editing with command line specs - will let you know should they come up with anything.
