out of memory error
« on: December 22, 2008, 02:08:12 AM »
Hi
I'm getting an out of memory error on an XPsp3 quad processor, 4 gig memory system, is there anything I can do about this or is it a "feature" of the OS? :-)
Many thanks

Is this in regards to using Photo Mechanic?

Hi Kirk
Apologies, I should have specified! It sure is, during the "open folder and subfolders in new contact sheet" is where I saw the problem, hard reboot was used to clear it.

Many thanks for the quick response!

How many photo files and folders are in that portion of your hard drive?  Or are you attempting to open your entire hard drive?

Try opening less data.

lol, no, not trying to open the complete drive! (2tb) will ensure I take smaller bites at it.

Many thanks for the super quick response! have a very happy xmas.
