sort by type
« on: February 13, 2009, 12:20:38 PM »
How can I set the order of the "sort by type" selection manually?
It sorts psd > jpeg > nef > png.
Is there a way to get an alphabetic order or whichever you want first?

Mac 10.5.6, PM 4.6b2

Thanks a lot for the additional checkbox in the watermark menu.

Cheers,
HM

There is no way to do that.  Sort by type is just meant to be used to cause photos of each type to be grouped together.

Not even in alphabetic order?
I recently was looking for a psd file and assumed its location at the bottom next to png but after some wild scrolling found it at the top of the window even before jpeg.

The latest beta version can be obtained from the Announcements section and should solve the Sort By Type issue you reported today.  It now uses the 'description' of the renderer used to load each image type which should be far more like an alphabetical sort by file type.
