Request for PTP Support in Photo Mechanic
« on: July 19, 2010, 10:31:24 AM »
I believe that there has been discussion of the fact that ptp only cameras are not supported for ingestion, but I've not been able to find an actual request for the feature.  I would like to be able to ibgest directly from a camera has ptp but no mass storage feature.

Why?  Use a card reader and get better download speeds, better reliability, and no use of your camera's battery.  Card readers are fairly inexpensive as well.

I generally do use a card reader.  Sometimes it is not convenient to juggle yet another device and a direct transfer feature would be helpful.
