Zenfolio
« on: February 26, 2009, 01:46:17 PM »
I am trying to upload pictures to zenfolio using the uploader in 4.6.
I received the error "Unable to upload because: execution expired"

I am on the latest version of leapord and using a trial version of zenfolio.
I chose to save logs and did not see one.

To upload I selected pics in contact view, jpegs....I clicked edit connections, entered my info, although it said opening connections...I received the error above
I contacted their support and they said to contact you.....Thank you

Did you try more than once?
Did you use your web browser to create your Zenfolio account on the same computer as you're running Photo Mechanic?
When you went to Zenfolio.com did you use http:// or https:// to logon?  (Photo Mechanic uses https:// instead of http://)
Do you have firewall software on your system?

Yes

Yes

http:// When I went to zenfolio.com using https I was redirected to a page that said
Secure Connection Failed
zenfolio.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for www.zenfolio.com

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)
 * This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.

    * If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.
Or you can add an exception…

When I clicked on the link it went to the login which had http:

Do you have firewall software on your system?
No

We'd like you to try logging in with your browser again using this:

https://www.zenfolio.com/zf/login.aspx?login=AAA=

Does that work for you?

Well I don't think I'd have any problem.  If you can't follow that link with the fully qualified server URL (www.zenfolio.com) without error, then the Zenfolio uploader will also get an error.  In your previous example you had left off the www part of the URL it was reasonable to get the SSL certificate error.  With everything correct you're still getting the error so something must be wrong on your end.  Get it corrected and I am sure everything will work.

whoa easy there, something got lost in the translation....
I can click the link and login to their site...and last time I did put in www. I said I couldn't program but I'm not stupid!

What could be wrong on my end? I get to their site I login....When I go to PM and try to upload to them I get the error.

What else could I be doing wrong?

And I guess you saying "Well I don't think I'd have a problem" means that you tested uploading to them and it works?

Just noticed that zenfolio is the only choice on the upload menu that stays on "opening connection" The others say
Please select an account, or choose Edit Connections...

Your last response was a bit vague, so I'll ask again.  If you click on the following link, do you get an error?

https://www.zenfolio.com/zf/login.aspx?login=AAA=

Of course.  We developed the uploader ourselves according to Zenfolio's public API.  So let's just continue with trying the above link with your browser and let me know if you get any error messages.

I click the link and login fine

To further test my side I tried to upload to smugmug, again on a trial and when I clicked send I get "Unable to upload because: No Gallery selected for upload"

So maybe I am doing something wrong on my end....I just selected several pictures in contact view and then clicked upload.
thanks
