Closed: Bug (?) in 4.6: Rating and Colour Class wierdness
« on: February 28, 2009, 12:13:08 PM »
Just tried the new 4.6 release and have run into the following bugs (?):

  • When applying IPTC stationary, the ratings get reset to 0 stars.
  • After setting the colour class of a (very large) TIFF file, I could no longer reset it, setting it to another colour didn't work either.

As I really needed to get some work done, I'm now back to 4.5.4, I'm more than happy to test 4.6 with above scenarios further though if at all necessary.

Hope this gets solved soon because the added functionality in 4.6 seems very nice (heck, I purchased a license renewal for it  ;D)

Adding to the data.  On Windows XP.  Have the second problem also although the color class does get changed, it just doesn't show as changed.  When viewed in Capture NX2 the color change has taken effect.

I have sent Hayo a test version and he tells me that it fixed his problem.  We'll release an update soon that addresses the problem.

I'm having the same issue, with my old version 4.5.4 and now with 4.6 too. With version 4.5.4, jpegs worked fine but raws did not, but now with version 4.6 neither raw or jpegs work!

it's frustrating for sure!

looking forward to a fix! thanks!

Hello, people.
I' m new to the forum, but I would like to add that the 4.6 version did not import automatically my master set of keywords (from the 4.5.4).
I use windows XP.

Luiz,

Hello, people.
I' m new to the forum, but I would like to add that the 4.6 version did not import automatically my master set of keywords (from the 4.5.4).
I use windows XP.

I found and fixed the bug that was causing 4.6 to not pickup keywords, cities, states, countries, etc. from previous versions of Photo Mechanic.

The first update to version 4.6 will have this fix in it.
