How to open a program when playing movie files?
« on: March 22, 2009, 03:35:32 AM »
Hi,

Is it possible to set a program to open and play movie files in PM. I have a small camera which I use for family use and sometimes I make movies. I can see the preview but I would like to open a program to view them. Or is it possible to view them in PM?

Using 4.6.1 and Mac.

Cheers.

In the Launching tab of the Preferences dialog you can assign a default movie player/editor.  I'd recommend the QuickTime Viewer application.  You can also assign a specific editor for each file type by using the "Set..." button in that same area of the Preferences dialog.  Movie file types are listed in the "File type to application mapping" dialog.

Photo Mechanic will not play the movies directly.
