using iptc templates
« on: July 06, 2009, 12:03:17 PM »
Hello.

My version is 4.4.3.3 and I started using a template for iptc data.
It happens that when I change the caption in one photo, it changes the caption is all photos. I know it must be a simple thing I am overlooking but what am I doing wrong?

I noticed this after I captioned a dozen photos and I ended having to do them all over again with another program.

Thanks,

Steve

It is likely that you have many photos selected and that you used the IPTC Stationery Pad instead of the IPTC Info dialog.  The IPTC Stationery Pad is used to bulk apply the same caption information to a selection of photos and the IPTC Info dialog only applies (in general) to one photo at a time.  You can access the IPTC Info dialog by clicking on the 'i' button that appears over each photo when you put your mouse cursor over the photo.

HTH,

-Kirk
