Numerical Sorting
« on: July 10, 2009, 03:08:28 PM »
We often use numbers to sequence and organize our photos, however PM's alphabetical sorting algorithm really throws a wrench in our workflow. (AKA: 1,12,198 are all next to each other, as it is done character by character instead of by parsed numbers) We then reference our numbered photos to numerically sorted lists, so you can see the annoyance that it causes. It would be really great if a numeric sort option was available.

How about using lead in zeros having 000001 instead of 1? This sorts fine in PM and has the advantage of having allways the same length of filenames. Or maybe I don't really understand your problem...
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.
