saving printable contact sheet

When I select a lot of images and create multiple contact sheets through the print command is there a way to save each contact sheet as a tiff file in a new folder so I can take the files and print them at my local lab?

Right now I print them via OSX as a PDF file.  I them print from there, but at least I have a digital version of the file as well.  It would be nice to have that file be output as a JPG (or any format viewable by PM), so it could be viewed, saved, etc. just like any other graphic file. 

I think there are plans to be able to view (at least) a generic icon for other (PDF) files...having the scontact sheet as a graphic (JPG, TIFF, etc) would be the next logical step.
