feature enhancement request - real full screen preview

when using image preview, there is no option to view image in real full screen mode, i.e. with ALL menus and tabs hidden, and just image occupying full screen.
That seems like a useful feature to me, when I need to preview an image with no distractions. Why is it not implemented?

You can get a nearly full screen preview by pressing the 'f' key in the Preview window.

The Slideshow offers full screen viewing.
