Losing Taggs

Whenever I edit photos in photoshop I lose the tagg that I had put on the image how can I prevent this happening

What version of Photo Mechanic are you using?  What OS are you running?  What version of Photoshop are you using?

Here is the info
Photo Mechanic 4.3.8
Windows XP SP2
Photoshop CS2

You'll need to upgrade to a newer version of Photo Mechanic.  The latest versions have an option to save 'soft edits' like tags, color classes, and ratings into the IPTC and/or XMP data in the file which is preserved by Photoshop when it rewrites the file.  Version 4.6.1 is the most recent version of Photo Mechanic.  You can upgrade on our website:
