462 beta... e-mail
« on: October 29, 2009, 12:51:21 PM »
Greetings...

Everything has been working great, except the ingesting, on W7 64 bit...

Till today and I wanted to e-mail an image...  all works upto the point of laying the address in the 'Send Photos via email' screen...

I can see and pick a person to send to, just will not add the address in the 'to' field...

Resize and sends image fine...

What is the Ingest issue?

This is the part where you're choosing recipients from the 'address book' dialog?

Yes you can chose the recipient, but it will not place the address...

Ingest on W7, 64 bit gets me this error...

But I can ingest just fine once PM is opened...

What email client are you using on your system?

I'd expect that since I haven't changed any of that code in at least a year.

Ed,

Let me know what I can do to help/test...

We don't have Outlook 2007.  Is there some way to purchase it without having to purchase the entire Office 2007 suite?  Is Outlook 2007 even considered to be fully compatible with Windows 7?

Outlook 2007 is compatible with Windows 7, however there are numerous posting online with people having problems mostly related to passwords and Exchange.

Hey All...

Office 2007 works just fine on W7, even 64 bit...  Outlook is part of that...

Yes you can get Outlook separate...

A TechNet Plus Direct $349 subcription from MS is a wonderful thing...  you have access to almost every known software MS has made...  sort of...  would you like to download DOS, Win 3.1?  All the OS's and Office XP, 03 and 07...  tons of MS software...  OS, desktop, server, etc...

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/securedownloads/ms772428.aspx

I have and you can 'borrow' an ISO of Outlook for testing if you would like... 243 megs...  I can put up on my server for FTP... or get the TechNet subcription...

Don't get too spooky out there on the West Coast...   :o
