Add tag, rating and color code to the IPTC stationery
« on: October 30, 2009, 05:23:56 PM »
Please add (even as an option) tag, rating and color code fields to the IPTC stationery pad allowing to set not only ITPC info but rating and color class in one step. For example if I select a group of images I have to enter a certain kind of IPTC info then add a given color code to them and a star rating and then tag them to mark they have been dealt with then I have to do the 4 steps separately while it could be done in one step as all the info I have to modify could be written into the files in the same step of metadata edit by PM.

For me this would save a lot of time when sorting out thousands of images and I think it can be easily added to the IPTC stationery pad. Also if the stationery pad ever goes into customizable, please add these fields as options to be added.
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.

I wholeheartedly support this request!

I think I actually already requested something similar earlier on, but this seems to have been missed so far. So here's another go  ;)

Cheers,

I would welcome this option also. I set the color class on images that have been captioned while working on deadline and having the IPTC Stationary Pad apply this color as it applies the cutline would save me a step.

I for example (mostly at some point of my workflow at least) use tagging as a sign for having IPTC applied. But it often happens with me that setting a givens set of IPTC fields goes together with assigning a color code....or star rating. So it could be a real time saver anyway.
