I will be purchasing a Canon 7D soon.  I run Windows Vista  and version 4.5.3.2  PM.

What version of PM will I need to upgrade to to view the 7D raw files, and what is the cost to upgrade.

Your version of PM (well you should get 4.5.4 since it is free) will already handle 7D RAW files for purposes of viewing as thumbnails and in the Preview window.  Only the most recent version of PM (4.6.2) has support for all of the Canon Maker Note data in 7D RAW files which enables all of the various {variables} to function.  Upgrades are $90.00 (US).
