PM / LR question
« on: March 12, 2010, 06:10:27 AM »
I watched Zack Arias workflow video - one of the reason's I barely use LR is speed. Zack's workaround was to have a subfolder of the selects and only import those. I HATE having seperate folders. That one of my FAVORITE things about PM - I just filter for the selects - NO moving, deleting, multiple copies.... SO my question.

Does anyone know if LR can be made to import only a certain PM color code/s? Then LR would only need see my selects.

Does LR have some sort of scripting language?  If so then maybe it could be done with a script...

Try this!

In PM select your picks.

Then drag to LR Icon.

Import screen pops up.

Do your thing and there she be. Just did it and works fine. Jim

Thanks - That sounds too easy - I'll give it a try.

In the Prefs/ launching I have assigned LR as a custom editor.
Then I just right click on the selected files and select LR as editor.
Works in LR2 and LR3
If you only use LR then set the custom editor to the files you use, e.g  nef
Then PM will launch the selected files in LR when typing -e or cmd + e

on a Mac  ;)

Unfortunately this works only on a Mac. LR on Windows does not support the PM way of opening files....but selecting them and dragging them on the LR icon works just fine.
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.
