Move - browse for folder start with current centered
« on: July 07, 2010, 08:27:29 AM »
Running Windows 7 I would like the "browse for folder" when I run the "copy option2 to start with the current folder centered in the folder window and not start at the top (destop level) forcing me to scroll down (usually a long way) as I run with 4 hard drives.

I have searched for this topic and failed to find it so apologise if it is somewhere in which case please point me to it.

I don't understand what you're trying to say.  Perhaps posting a screen shot or two will help.

Kirk,
Thanks.
Attached.
Note where the vertical scroll is in the want version.
Let me know if you need more information.

OK.  Well, that's Microsoft's dialog.  How would PM know where you want it to start anyway?  What is the 'current folder'?

Kirk,
It is a PM issue, other software does it. If you look at the want.jpg you will see the folder "2" is "highlighted" that is the current folder, ie the one PM is using.

What do you mean by 'the one PM is using'?  The current contact sheet folder path?  The last place you chose from this dialog?

OK, fair enough.  But there are some circumstances (like having a contact sheet that has more than one folder open) that would make the implementation inconsistent.  I suppose it could automatically show the first folder represented in the contact sheet.

Kirk,
For me I only have one folder in the contact sheet but I see your problem. So for me the first time I open the choose folder for move/copy on a contact sheet opening the dialogue using the folder for that image would be ok.
