Opening multiple files

My PM crashed and when I restarted the computer I had to reset the preferences as all my selections had been wiped out. My problem is when I now open multiple files through Photoshop the do not open in alphabetical order, which makes my workflow really awkward. Have I set something wrong in Preferences?

Are the images in sorted order?

PM sends them off in their order, but there is nothing that PM can do to force Photoshop to open the images in a specific order.  Why it wouldn't open them up in the order they're listed, I don't know.
