Ingesting locked image files
« on: September 02, 2006, 07:08:43 PM »
I'm trying to ingest just my tagged images, but when I select "copy locked photos only" there are exclamation points next to the dialog box and PM does not seem to recognize my tagged images therefore does not ingest anything into my folder.
Can anyone explain how to do this or what I'm doing wrong?

Ingest puts the "!!!" next to the popup menu as a warning that not all of your photos may be downloaded.  That said, if the files have been locked in camera, they should be downloaded.

What OS are you running?
What version of Photo Mechanic are you running?

OK, open up your card with the Finder.  Do any of your images show up as locked? (You should see a little 'lock' badge on the icons.)

Yep, there's a lock on them.

Do you have Ingest incrementally turned on?  Had you previously downloaded the whole card and then downloaded again after changing to copy locked files only?

Try turning off the Ingest incrementally and then Ingest again.

Let me know if this fixes the problem.
