GPS Coordinates
« on: November 01, 2010, 12:33:00 AM »
Hi!

I use the IPTC-Feature of City / Location / State for every image.
Is it possible to add the above information into the GPS-Lookup window as default search-location?

Best regards
Sven

Do you mean the Set GPS Coordinates dialog?

Yes Kirk...

"Transferring" the "location" from the IPTC-Data to the "GPS-Lookup window"

After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

Hi Sven,

I really like your idea.

Thumbs up for this feature request.

I would love to see this in Photo Mechanic

Hi!

Any news on this?

Will it also (as an alternative) be possible to specify the GPS-Location during ingest? This will save 1 step...

Thanks
Sven

Regarding GPS Coordinates, I would like to be able to setup multiple preferred locations with a name like Aperture does.  I do not have GPS feature on my camera so that would be a time savior for locations I often shoot from.  Usually familly/kids pictures.  To beat Aperture ass, that would be really cool to associate some IPTC information to a preferred location so when we set the coordinates we can also apply location, city, state/province, country to the metadata!

A GPS Lat-Long look-up drop-down box, pointing to a user-created text file, would be really useful.

i.e. in the Image > Set GPS Co-ordinates window
