Appending to caption
« on: December 06, 2010, 02:46:57 AM »
Hi,

is there a way to append a word to the caption in front of the already written? And maybe to the headline too?

regards
Johann

Johan,

You could make use of a workaround for this: make use of an unused field and set that to "text to go before {caption}".
Apply this setting and then go back and set your caption field to "{variable for unused field above}" and apply this. Now your caption should be what you want.

Note: Take care to use a field that has no restriction on the number of characters you put in it.

Hope this helps,

Hayo,

I can't manage. I have the variable-phrase written in my caption.

Maybe if you post a screenshot of what you're working with and what you want the final result to be then we'll find a solution for you.  Use the 'Additional Options...' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshots.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Sorry for late reply. I was abroad. I use MacOs X snowleo and PM 4.6.6. I would like to append "166 / " to all fotos, like you see in the second screenshot. And in batch manner.
