Author and Copyright fields
« on: December 30, 2010, 03:17:22 AM »
I am running Photo Mechanic version 4.6.6 and I run Mac OS X 10.6.5 on my Intel-based Mac. Camera: Canon EOS Mark IV.

I am puzzled by the fact that the copyright infos, Author and Copyright, from my camera are not show in any fields in the IPTC Info when opening the pictures in PM.

I'm not entirely sure but I think you refer to the Author and Copyright infos set in the menu of the mark IV. I think the camera stores these details in the EXIF metadata, not in IPTC.
If I'm right you have to have PM set your Photographer and Copyright fields using the {owner} and {user} variables. At the moment I cannot check it, as I don't have any mark IV photos with me that have the Author and Copyright infos set.

If I would be mistaken, then Kirk will put this straight.

I think you're correct.  I'm on vacation so I also cannot verify.

You are right. The names are stored in the EXIF data. The variables work well...

Attached are screenshots. (sorry for the german language)
