Preview dialog and Edit with external editor
« on: February 08, 2011, 07:10:22 AM »
When in the Preview dialog I can only access my external editor by mouse clicking the icon at the top of the window. Pressing the E key does not work (nor Ctrl+E).  All the other shortcut keys work (e.g. X for crop, I for IPTC).

Windows 7 64 bit, PM 4.6.6

That's odd.  Does the computer beep when you press E?  Do you have a default application assigned to edit photos (in the Launching tab of the Preferences dialog)?

I am experiencing the same thing in PM V 4.6.7 and Win Vista 64bit. No beep, no indication of any problem. Capture NX2 is assigned as the default editor and does open when selecting "Edit" from the context menu.

Win 7  - PM  4.6.6

From the Preview dialog - When I press "E" Capture NX2 opens and file loads. Seems to work for me.

Kirk,

No, it does not beep.  I'm away from my desktop PC now, so while I am pretty sure the default app is set, I am not 100% sure.  Wouldn't the fact that when I click on the icon and the editor is invoked indicate it is set correctly?

Using my laptop, pressing E does work (also Windows 7 64 bit, but 4.6.3).
