Upload to Mobile Me
« on: February 16, 2011, 10:40:01 AM »
I am part of a new course teaching a fast track photojournalism course here in the UK and our students are all being taught to use Photo Mechanic. We are using a shared Mobile Me account for the students to upload their current work to and it would be great if we had a Mobile Me upload facility from directly within PM. We don't want to give them full access to the Mobile Me account and so mounting the drive on the desktop isn't an option. It can be done using a web browser but we would rather bring this closer to the real world experience of uploading from within PM.

Most students will be on Mac OS 10.6x with the odd one or two using Windows Vista or 7. The workflow is heavily PM based and we don't really want to advise them to get a separate FTP client that handles WebDav.

I'd like to add my support to this request as well.

I'm not a MobileMe user yet but I'm thinking on it, and seems a good idea.

As a workaround more or less there is the free DropBox, which can be used for sharing files/photos fast and easy and upload works by copying into a local folder. Check it out if you don't yet know it.
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.
