upgrading powerbook to latest version

Mac... 10.5.8
powerbook ... 10.5.8

I would like to upgrade my powerbook to latest v. of Photomechanic. Currently it is out of date, over 1 year.
I have the current version of photomechanic on my mac tower. Can I just copy the current version to my powerbook or do it on line?
