PM 4.6.7 beta 5 Ingest issue
« on: April 29, 2011, 10:05:50 AM »
Just upgraded to Photo Mechanic 4.6.7 beta 5 (from beta 4). When I ingest images to a mounted server volume, I am unable to view the images in PM once the ingest is complete - the browser window is showing 0 images, even though I can see images in the folder. I tested the same folder using PM 4.6.6 (on another computer) and the images are viewable. I ran another test in the latest beta version by ingesting to just my desktop and everything works fine. The issue only seems to be with ingesting to our mounted server volume (I am using Mac OS connecting to a Mac Server - both running Snow Leopard).

What file system is on the server you're browsing?

Having the same problem, opening a file on a NAS drive shows no pics. Had no problems in beta 4, just tried in 4.6.6 and no problems. MacBook Pro 2.66 i7 8gigs  osx 10.6.7

Same here.

Ingest to local HDD, sorting out pictures, backups to USB-Drive and NAS via rsync. Opening images from USB-Drive works well. NAS shows only blank screen.

MacBook,OS X 10.6.7, PM 4.6.7 Beta 5
ReadyNAS Duo, wired GBit-Connection via AFP-Protocol
After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

Everyone, I've got a test build that should tell me what is causing files to be rejected during the scan.  Let me know if you're willing to test.  I'll need you to send me log files, so if you have the time, please let me know.

Thanks,

-Kirk
