Transferring PM to new computer

I have a registered copy of PM 4.5.4 and I need to move it to a new computer.  When I copied it over and opened it, it came up as a trial copy and I couldn't register it with my old serial number. Please help.

What did it say when you tried to register it on your new computer?  (Please do NOT post any of your registration details here!)
