Found out there:

http://roaringapps.com/app:1503

a problem in particular? The note says "according to the developer there are some minor issues with Lion", but I doubt they're contacted with CameraBits...

Just reporting a problem in Lion with PM 4.6.7. If I send picture by email, Apple Mail, I get an error.. "There was an error while creating the email via AppleScript. Please make sure your email application is configured properly. The console.log has details of the error."

This sounds familiar from the past, but not sure if it's something Apple need to do with Mail, or a PM fix?

Thoughts?
Lenny

Too hard to tell at this point.  I'll have to look into it.  Thanks for the heads-up.

Right now we're working on a complete replacement for the Slide Show for compatibility with Mac OS X 10.7.

Lenny,

Cheers Kirk, as always great backup for the best bit of software in my armoury, can't do without PM. :-)

We're unable to reproduce the problem.  Could you please post screenshots of your Send Photos via email dialog and any pertinent settings in Apple Mail?  Use the 'Additional Options...' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Sorry, found out what's causing it, Attachment Tamer by Lokiware. They say it is Lion compatible.. Thing is, without this software PC users can't get my pics by email, they are inline and they can only save them as BMP... total pain.. :-(

I'll play with the settings... anyone else had this problem?

Thing is, attachment tamer works in Lion, Apple Mail sending direct email but not in PM... I NEED to use this software as if I send without it, the pics are embedded inline and PC users have issues.

I don't know what to do.  But let's analyze the error messages you sent.  The first one is from some Adobe software.  The next four are from Apple Mail having issues with AppleScript.  The last set are PM printing out the error message returned by the OS when Apple Mail failed.

I don't see any indication that PM is doing anything wrong.  Perhaps later when I have more time I will get a chance to get the software you're using and try and reproduce the problem.  I understand that it is important to you, but right now getting a working Slide Show and Live Slide Show are more important since the use of either of these features causes a crash for 100% of users on Lion.

In the meantime, I suggest talking to the Lokiware folks and see if they have any ideas why having their software in the mix would cause Apple Mail to have issues with AppleScript.

Hi!

First of all: Thanks for the tip...

You only have to re-install this bit of software to get it working. See the homepage:
Code: [Select]
2011/7/20: Mail plug-ins and Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

Attachment Tamer and some other plug-ins for Mail already support Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
Nevertheless, you will most likely need to reinstall them after upgrading because Mail will disable all plug-ins when migrating your account to Lion.

I installed the demo and all is working fine.

After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

I reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. :-( Helpppppppp...

Have you tried contacting the developer, Lokiware?  Perhaps they can help you with their product.

I've had an email back from the developer, sigh of relief here.. ;-)

Sorry to bring this up as a PM bug Kirk. This attachment tamer software is very good, needed if you email pics to clients with PC's...

Cheers
Lenny

Hi Lenny,

I know about the problem and will issue an update by tomorrow. I am sorry that it escaped my attention when testing on Lion and I hope it didn't cause too much trouble.
