Hi!

You can use the "Find and Replace" option in the "Edit" menu.
Open all images in one contact sheet or do it separately for individual folders.

Search for the misspelled term and replace it with the corrected one.
Select the IPTC-fields where the replacement should be done.

BEWARE: As far as I know this process searches sub-strings and changes then. (Kirk: am I right?)
If you are trying to replace nativ with native and have already some images with "native" spelled correctly you will have "nativee" after that.
A workaround would be to have a 2nd "Search and Replace" with "nativee" to "native"

Keywords on 30,000 improved overnight by adding 'object name' to keywords ... using {object}

Great. Keywords now reasonable.

Another question:
Is it possible correct a spelling error within the keywords of some images ... all pix at once?

Example:
nativ = native
poo = poor

Sure.  Use Find and Replace on the Edit menu.

This is a great place to learn. Hope I'm not asking too many questions, but I think the forum is here for that reason.

By the way, my workaround for dealing with the word nativ, without turning a preperly spelt native into nativee is to deal with nativSPACE. Haven't tried it with Photo Mechanic yet, but it's an easy solution.

Bye for now, and THANK YOU again.

The next question:

Is it possible to export keywords (and caption) from images into a spreadsheet? How?

Hi!

Select the images, go to "File => Export", select "Text Exporter" as template, add the variables you want to export separated by a delimiter and you are fine.
Import the file into the program of your choice.
