Admin Rights required for Install
« on: January 30, 2012, 10:26:29 AM »
Hi

Trying to install V4.6.8 on a Windows XP SP3 that I don't have Admin Rights for.   How can I achieve this?

Thanks,
Ashley

I'm sorry but it is just not possible to install Photo Mechanic on a Windows system without Admin privileges.  There are several components and settings that can only be changed with Admin privileges.

If it is your personal computer and you don't have administrative rights or access to an account with admin rights, the only way I know of to get admin rights is to reinstall XP - not a good thing.

If it is a corporate computer, hopefully someone in your IT department can help you out as they should have an admin account setup for doing things that require that level of access. The can either install it for you or set your account to have admin rights.
