Our press release stated 1Q 2012 which is only a month and a half away at the latest.  We'll see if we can hit that date...

Also willing to be a beta tester.

Note that the only PM experience I have is with the demo (downloaded earlier today) It's a good idea to include newbies in beta tests:

1.  They don't know how the program used to work, so they aren't always making comparisons to the old days.

2.  They come inexperienced so the obvious things aren't obvious anymore.

I have experience have been a beta tester for Lighthouse Designs and Create Studios.  The people at Lighthouse said "Where were you when we were planning this app?" because I kept coming up with ideas about interface tweaks that would make the program easier/better/faster to use.

I'll point out that we are now in the middle of first quarter...

Believe me, we're well aware of that! :)

Unfortunately even Canon and Nikon is in delays with their new cameras so I can forgive Camerabits being off schedule - even if we all are desperately waiting for a beta or at least some sort of teaser.

Since april 2007 I use PM. I think since then I am waiting a good and fast DAM for macintosh OS. I hope this time Camera Bits is ready to sort at least a beta version as promised (this month?). And sure I am volunteer to test this software.

For me it's more important to have a (minor buggy) beta than an alpha version which is unusable.
They need their time and they should have it.
After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

Please take your time to get it right.  No rush.  PM4 is really fine as is.

I don't think that anyone is suggesting that buggy software is released just to get it out quickly.  And I don't think that anyone asking after PM5 because of any failings of PM4.  Those that are keen to see PM5 are merely showing their support for Camera Bits and PM by expressing an interest.  Personally, I'm eager to see the new catalog feature, and to see whether it can finally sink a certain rival product which has stood still for the last several years, so that once again I can use cataloging software that is actively developed by a small, nimble and responsive company like Camera Bits, who are committed to the product and who understand the needs of photographers whatever camera or raw processing software they use.
