General sluggishness & corrupted images
« on: April 19, 2012, 07:47:20 AM »
Hi everyone,

I am having issues with PM that seem to be getting worse and worse and I'm hoping someone can help me out. Lately importing takes longer than it used to, I am seeing more corrupt images during these imports (which hangs the program) and it takes forever to toggle between images in the image viewer. Basically I am a slave to the spinning beach ball of death these days. It's gotten so bad I have reverted to using Lightroom to import and make my selects. I am not seeing any corrupt images in Lightroom, so I know the problem isn't the images themselves. Any idea what the problem might be?

I am running PM 4.6.8 (just upgraded from 4.6.6, was experiencing the same issues in that version) on a 2.8 ghz i7 iMac w/ 12 gb of RAM running OSX 10.6.8.

Here's a screenshot of 8 images I exported from Lightroom to add metadata to that won't render in PM and a shot of a corrupted image during my last import.

Thanks!
