Any Ideas of Release dates of Version 4.6.9 & V5
« on: April 01, 2012, 05:16:03 PM »
Hi Guys,

I am about to update to Lion very soon.
Currently I have Photo Mechanic version 4.3.8 running on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on a intel Macbook Pro.
I am aware that this version is powerPC version, & will not work on Lion as they have stopped all support now.
appleI am keen to upgrade Photo Mechanic together with Lion, but am worried that if I upgrade to 4.6.9 shortly, & this is already stated to be the last update of version 4, then I will have to repurchase Version 5 very soon after.
If I purchase v4.3.8, and you release the v5 update within the year of support, will V5 be included in that or will I have to re-purchase?

If not then I will be prepared to wait a little longer, but can you give me some ideas on dates of the release of V5?

Regards,

Andy

Version 4.3.8 is a really old version of PM that we don't sell anymore, and it isn't going to work with Lion for sure.  How did you miss out on 4.4, 4.5, and 4.6?

If you purchase 4.6.x now you will get v5 as a free update because of our "1 year of free updates" policy.

So there is no reason to wait for v5 to not purchase and use 4.6 now, knowing you can use v5 once it hits our download site.

We actually do things a little differently here, not just think about it :)

Fantastic.

I hoped that would be the answer.
And I don't really know why I am so outdated, but Its always "just worked" so I am very happy I guess.

Thanks for your swift response, & I will be sorting out the move very soon now.

Thanks guys.

Andy

Dennis -- now that first quarter has come and gone, has there been any further announcements regarding the catalog app?  Last I remember hearing anything was October 30.
