Color Folder Navigation
« on: July 06, 2012, 08:26:53 AM »
I'm using photomechanic on Mac OSX 10.7

We are editing off of a server. We use color coded folders to identify jobs and what their status is.

When working off of the server the colors of the folders do not show up until you click the 'carrot' to navigate to a subfolder.

When you are working off of local folders this is not an issue.

It would be extremely helpful if photomechanic was able to recognize the folder color right away, without having to take any action when working off of a server or a network folder.

Thanks

-CI

Do you have the same problem in the Finder, or only in Photo Mechanic?

The problem is only in Photomechanic.
The folder colors are available when looking at shared folders through the finder.

Thanks

When working off of the server the colors of the folders do not show up until you click the 'carrot' to navigate to a subfolder.

I can confirm this. Several folders on a networked drive that are marked with (different) colors. They appear as described above.
Local and "Server" (Mac Mini with shared external disks): OS X 10.7.4

After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.
