Key Stroke to revoke Color Classes ...
« on: October 24, 2006, 02:00:43 AM »
Hello,

to improve my workflow, I like to have the option to revoke a chosen Color Class by hitting the same number key again (like tag and untag files).

Do you mean that you want it to change back to 'None', right?

Not sure if that is what he wants, but I think that would be great especially since I always forget that it doesn't work that way and try it.

Kirk,

yes, that's what I mean. Like tag and untag files (Keystroke <T>).

Ditto here.  I'd love to see that added.

I prefer it the way it is. How hard is it to hit the zero key to un-assign? Keys that toggle an assignment on or off would be more prone to input error. For example, while making color class assignments in slide show, I enter "1", or did I only half press the key. Now I can't tell if I am toggling on or off without visual reference from the screen. Now I need to move forward one file and then back to check the color class. My opinion only.

I think I'd like ti to toggle on/off...in addition that would free up "0" to be another color class as well.  You just increased the number of color classes by 11%!!! Talk about a product improvement!!!

How about we make it a preference?  The default would be to leave it the way it is.  Users who want the optional behavior can enable the option.
