Macintosh OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion) Launching Photo Mechanic Version 5.0

When launching Photo Mechanic with the new Macintosh Mountain Lion OS, OS 10.8, you may get a security alert and Photo Mechanic will not launch. To fix, change System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Allow applications downloaded from: > Anywhere.
"Anywhere" is NOT the default setting.

Peter,

We do not recommend changing the setting to "Anywhere".

Just right-click on the Photo Mechanic application and choose Open from the contextual menu.
