Injest Folder Roots Option
« on: November 05, 2006, 07:52:17 AM »
Hi Kirk.

Here's one I can use:

When injesting, in the Injest Dialog Pop Up, how difficult would it be to have separate Filter parameters for the Primary and Secondary injest locations? Reason? I'd like to have the tagged images go into one folder, while the others (or all the files - tagged and untagged) get dumped into a separate folder.

Not a biggie, but it would save a bit of file moving and copying for me after an injest.

Thanks.

- Ed.

Why not use the {tag} variable in the Folder Naming?  For example:

{year4}/{month0}/{tag}

Photos that are tagged will go into the '2006/11/1' folder, and photos that are not tagged will go into the '2006/11/0' folder.

HTH,

I'll try it, Kirk. But how about if I want the whole shoot (tagged and untagged) in one folder, while just the tagged in a second folder?

Thanks, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

You mean you want the tagged files to be copied twice?

Yes. I want one folder "untouched" with the entire shoot, and my in-field tagged files on a "work folder" to caption and edit after a game. This way, if I mess up, I always have the original files at hand, without having to go back to my cards (which may take time, and/or may have been over-written if I discover a mess-up days later.

I like the feature of having two ingest locations, but would like to have the option of having one of those locations with the tagged files only.

Thanks buddy!

Take care.
