Color Tag creates Label
« on: August 04, 2012, 10:26:27 AM »
In latest 5 build, when I Color Tag, a Label is created that you see in Bridge / Mini Bridge. How do I stop that?
Thanks

You can't.  Color Classes/Labels are stored in XMP metadata for compatibility with other applications (any application that cooperates via XMP standards).

Why wouldn't you want your Color Classes/Labels to show up in Adobe products such as Bridge and Lightroom?

the reason is because in my workflow, the "Bridge" files are the "culled" down and finished files, no reason to tag them. In the PM files, that masses are filed and having those that are Favorites color tagged make them easy to find in the masses

Then the best way to remove them would be to set the color class to 'None' before you begin your work in Bridge.

thanks for response....that doesn't work, the Nef color tag is carried through ACR and then Bridge even though NO tagging or Labels is the default

Are you using XMP sidecar files?  Embedding XMP?  Doing both XMP sidecars and embedding XMP?
