Scrolling in Stationary Pad
« on: August 07, 2012, 01:50:00 PM »
Hi,

I just discoverd a rather annoying behaviour in V5 (on Win7 x64). When opening the stationary pad the caption text is selected. Therefore scrolling through the pad by mousewheel is not immediately possible. I can drag the pad up and down with the hand symbol but scrolling with the mouse wheel is only possible after clicking on a category (like keywords, headline, location...). The means at least two clicks until I can scroll via mousewheel: open pad > click on e.g. headline > click again to remove check mark > now I my mouse's ready.

Is there a way to get around this?

Regards,
Oliver

Thank you Kirk. Will most likely get used to using the hand to slide the pad up and down.

Cursor in stationary pad

There is another issue with the stationary pad. Didn't want to start a new thread. Hope that is okay.

When I open the pad with CRTL-I all the text in the caption field is selected (blue background) und scrolled all the way down to the last character (V5). The setting Prefix/Replace/Append does not change this. When opening the stationary pad in V4 the caption is not selected. The cursor is just blinking at the very first position.

Was this changed on purpose? At least to me, the old way was much practical since I always have the same infos in the captionfield and write the actual caption in front of that text.

The mouse wheel should now work much better.

Your other issue (selection) has not been addressed yet.
