Is it possible to have 2 edit with options?
« on: August 08, 2012, 04:46:59 PM »
Hello,

Just bought PM5 and I like it. Video playable is a good option.

Is it possible to have more than one Edit with / Open in option? If I select some files and want to open with Photoshop and then maybe in other cases open bigger batch of files with Lightroom. I hope you get it, is it possible?

One Edit with option = Program one
Another edit with option = Program 2

Cheers.

Hilmar,

Yes.  This feature has been in Photo Mechanic for many years.  In the Launching section of the Preferences dialog there is a button titled "Assign specific editing applications for each file type:".  Click on the "Set..." button.  A dialog will appear that lets you assign editors for each file type and up to 10 custom editors that are assigned to no specific file type.

In the Preview window you can access these editors by right-clicking (or Ctrl-clicking) on a photo and choose from the "Edit with" sub-menu.

HTH,
