.lst file
« on: December 23, 2012, 11:41:53 AM »
I have searched the fora to find out about this file but my searches have drawn a blank.

The .lst file sometimes appears during ingest as files are added, and it is actually saved to the destination folder along with the ingested files (in this case, .NRW).

Other times during ingest I see no .lst, and it isn't ingested into the destination folder.

So, what is the .lst file, do I need it, and why is it so elusive???

It's probably some file that your camera generates when you do some sort of operation on the camera that you don't always do (that's why it isn't always there.)  As for its function, I have no idea.

Can you post a sample .lst file? That way we can find its purpose, perhaps.

Merry Christmas,

Hmm, not much to gather from that file. It only contains the string NCCONLST.LST0101COOLPIX P7800  V1.0 followed by some NULL characters. Looking at the filename again, the word CON may be an indication that it has something to do with connectivity (wi-fi???).

Anyway, certainly looks like a file that can be safely ignored.
