5D MKIII and PM 4.6.9
« on: January 17, 2013, 02:08:42 AM »
Hi Kirk,

I've just done a camera upgrade to 1D MKIV and 5D MKIII, MKIV RAW files are coming through fine but 5D MKIII RAW are not having the IPTC info attached and I can't set/change colour class or rate the photos unless they are captured as jpgs.

Yes I know I'm running older version, I have some much software running under 10.5.8 which quite probably will not work under 10.6 without many $$$ upgrade, not talking about PM as I don't mind spending $$$ on your software.

Is it a known bug, is it fixable in PM 4.6.9?

PS Thanks for the happy birthday wishes.

Regards,

Charles

Hi,
Perhaps you should upgrade to PM5 while maintaining Mac OS 10.5.8. That problem would probably be solved...

I don't think 5 runs under 10.5.8 does it? Thanks.

Done a bit of experimenting... The 5D MK III RAW files work fine if I reset the preferences for the IPTC/XMP to the default, so obviously one of my previous settings didn't play nicely... Kirk, I saved my old settings if you need them but probably PM 4.6.9 is a lock Legacy product. Just glad I have my PM back working.

Good to hear.  Yes, PM 4.6.x is no longer being maintained.  Also PM 5 only runs on 10.6 to 10.8 versions of Mac OS X.

P.S. You're welcome on the birthday wishes.  I do my best to send them out to each person who enters their birth date in to their account info.

Hi Kirk, Bit the bullet and upgraded to OS 10.6.8, using demo of latest PM 5. Is there a feature sheet between version 4 and 5? Could not find one on the website. Thank. Charles

Hi Charles!

Have a look in the initial announcement thread here in the forum...

Near the bottom is a link to a PDF-File with some new features.
